使徒信条｜The Apostles' Creed

私たちは、天地の造り主、全能の父なる神を信じます。

また、そのひとり子、私たちの主、イエス・キリストを信じます。主は聖霊によってやどり、処女マリアから生まれ、ポンティオ・ピラトのもとで苦しみを受け、十字架につけられ、死んで葬られ、よみにくだり、三日目に死者のうちから復活し、天に昇って、全能の父なる神の右に座しておられます。主はそこから来て、生きている者と死んでいる者とを審かれます。

私たちは、聖霊を信じます。聖なる公同の教会、聖徒の交わり、罪の赦し、からだの復活、永遠のいのちを信じます。

We believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
